About Me

My name is Nicky Hulme, and I live in Lander, Wyoming—a place I deeply love for its beauty and wildness. I’m surrounded by sweeping mountain ranges, winding rivers, open skies, and wildlife that reminds me daily how beautiful and untamed life can be. I feel incredibly grateful to call this place home, and even more grateful for the community of people who bring me connection, joy, and peace.

I’m a wife to my wonderfully supportive husband, Jason, and the mother of two incredible (and very different) children who inspire me in ways I can’t fully put into words. My family is my grounding force and my greatest joy. They are the heart behind everything I do, encouraging me to grow, create, and live fully in each season of life.

My love for photography began in one of the most meaningful chapters of my life—when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I suddenly felt this deep desire to hold onto every fleeting moment: the anticipation, the quiet changes, the overwhelming joy. My husband gifted me my first camera, unknowingly opening the door to something that would become a lifelong passion.

What started as a heartfelt hobby quickly grew into something much more.

For over nine years now, I’ve had the privilege of photographing people and their stories—beginning with senior portraits and expanding into families, engagements, special events, and weddings. Each session has shaped me, taught me, and deepened my love for what I do.

I am drawn to natural light, real emotion, and the in-between moments—the wind catching a veil, a child’s laughter breaking through stillness, the way two people look at each other when they forget the camera is there. I also focus on helping people feel comfortable and at ease through gentle, natural guided posing and supportive direction, so their true personalities and connections can shine through effortlessly.

Above all, I believe photography is about connection. It’s about slowing down long enough to notice what matters most and preserving it in a way that can be felt for years to come. Everyone deserves images that feel honest, beautiful, and true to their story.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. It would be an honor to share in your moments and help preserve the beauty of your story.
